A liquefaction plant in Inner Mongolia is now running with Fives cold box

Fives teams in the Energy | Cryogenics business line in France and China have jointly manufactured the largest LNG cold box to date for Jereh Group.

Since 2016, Fives has supplied over 20 sets of LNG cold boxes to the Chinese market ranging from a capacity of 50,000 to 1.5 Million Nm3/day (10,000 to 500,000 tons per year). Indeed, thanks to accurate thermodynamic designs and top quality materials, Fives has provided its customers with cost-effective heat exchangers and cold boxes.

In 2017, Fives and its client Sichuan Jereh Hengri Natural Gas Engineering Co., also known as Jereh Group Ltd, started working together to optimize the design of exchangers and cold boxes and improve unit performance. Since then, Fives has successfully supplied several sets of LNG units, with various liquefaction treatment capacities, to Jereh Group.

Most recently, Fives teams in the Energy | Cryogenics business line in France and China have jointly manufactured the largest LNG cold box to date for Jereh Group for a LNG liquefaction plant in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The French teams designed and manufactured the brazed aluminum plate fin heat exchangers whereas the Chinese teams built the piping and assembled the cold box.

The LNG liquefaction plant started on December 25, 2019 and perfectly met Jereh Group expectations.
